About Linkin Park

                          BIOGRAPHY

"The biggest misconception about us is that we're just a rock band," describes Linkin Park's guitarist Brad Delson. "We think our music is a cross-section of many genres; a hybrid of what the six of us have grown up on." The title of the band's debut album and its original band name, Hybrid Theory, describes both the six-piece's artistic goals and its approach to making music. Linkin Park's sound, a melting pot of heavy alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic flourishes, is utterly their own, an accomplishment strengthened by the band's remarkably powerful, organic songwriting. But almost everything about Linkin Park has been unforced, including their Southern California origins.

Origins
The band saw its beginnings in emcee/vocalist Mike Shinoda's small bedroom studio, where he and Delson recorded the band's first material in 1996. The two had attended high school together, where they met the band's drummer, Rob Bourdon. Shinoda hooked up with DJ Joseph Hahn while studying illustration at Art Center College in Pasadena. Meanwhile, attending UCLA, Delson shared an apartment with bassist Phoenix, who left the band after college and returned a year later. The final piece of the puzzle was singer Chester Bennington, a transplanted Arizona native who started making records when he was 16. "When I was two, I used to run around singing Foreigner songs--there's tapes of me doing that...Since I learned how to talk I've been telling everybody I was gonna grow up to be a singer." laughs Bennington.

The Album
The combination of Bennington's rich, mammoth vocal style with Shinoda's rapid-fire emceeing helps to define Linkin Park's sound. "I think one of Chester and Mike's goals is to be as integrated as possible," offers Phoenix. "Although the styles we're mixing can be very different, we want the combination to feel natural--that is a big part of our band's identity." Weaving influences as diverse as Deftones, Nine Inch Nails, Aphex Twin, and The Roots into a unified whole, Linkin Park "want everything to come together without feeling forced," explains Shinoda. "As part of the writing process, I record everyone directly into a computer to best integrate our digital and live elements. We spend countless hours mixing and matching parts until we get the right combinations and composition."
The band immersed itself in the writing process until the spring of 2000, when they inked with Warner Bros. Records and immediately went into the studio. To help record their work, they enlisted producer Don Gilmore (Pearl Jam, Apex Theory, Sugar Ray). "We met with a lot of people and had a very difficult time choosing a producer," says Bennington. "But Don, aside from making things sound good, stood out as someone who could really push us to work harder as songwriters." The end result is an album that is as well-crafted and melodic as it is confrontational, with a strong lyrical message. "Chester and I write about universal emotions, whether it's feeling insignificant, optimistic, or frustrated," Shinoda describes. "We write about everyday life, because sometimes it's good to know there are other people going through the same things that you are." These lyrics, along with the diverse instrumentation in which they are embedded, result in a powerful musical statement: Linkin Park's debut album, Hybrid Theory.

Touring
Following the completion of Hybrid Theory and the return of Phoenix, the band has played incessantly, introducing crowds worldwide to their explosive live performance. "I've always wanted our show to be energetic," says Hahn. "We use drum pads, samplers, and turntables with original vinyl to perform all the sample parts live on stage, which I think brings an exciting uniqueness to the songs." The energy and tightness of the band's performance, on tours with Deftones, P.O.D., and Papa Roach, and as a headliner itself, has secured Linkin Park a strong foundation of dedicated fans worldwide, and helped propel the band's record sales into the millions.
When asked about the secret behind the Linkin Park's rapid success, Bourdon responds, "Ever since the beginning, we've always tried to maintain a strong relationship with our fans. From our close-knit street team family, to our videos, to designing quality merchandise, to our hands-on website activity with www.linkinpark.com, we stay involved in order to put our fans first." Linkin Park's reputation for being fan-oriented is best exemplified in their dedication to interacting with listeners at shows: the band obsessively sign hundreds of autographs at every concert. When asked about this phenomenon, Shinoda explains, "It's just a way of giving back. Our fans have helped us to realize a dream we didn't know was possible." It's taken Linkin Park five years to become an overnight success, and in the process, they've proven that a fresh combination of talent, unwavering dedication to craft, and pure artistic vision can, as Bennington describes, "get you through anything and help you realize your dreams."

MALL - a sun that never shine by Chester Bennington

Hahn was stepping behind the camera to direct
his first feature film , and now comes news that
that movie, ‘Mall,’ will receive an exclusive Nerd
HQ screening at the upcoming San Diego Comic-
Con.
The Comic-Con screening of ‘Mall’ will take place
during Zachary Levi and The Nerd Machine’s fifth
annual Nerd HQ event at Petco Park in San Diego
on July 24. Hahn will take part in a
“Conversations for a Cause” Q&A panel that also
features producer Sam Maydew, composer Alec
Puro and cast members from ‘Mall.’
It’s all part of a busy Comic-Con week for Hahn,
as Linkin Park will play an mtvU Fandom Awards

‘Mall’ centers on a group of disgruntled
suburbanites who find their lives transformed after
a seemingly random shooting at a shopping mall.

Cameron Monaghan, Peter Stormare and James
Frecheville among others.

MALL -Linkin park directed by joe hahn

Joseph Hahn is mostly known for his creative work as the beat master for
the band Linkin Park. He's also directed several of the band's music videos.
The guy is crazy talented and I know he's been trying to direct a feature film
for years. I'm happy to report that it's finally happened for him and he just
made a distribution deal for it.
The movie is called Mall, and it's based on Eric Bogosian 's 2001 novel of
the same name. The story revolves around "five disaffected suburbanites
whose lives come together at a shopping mall following a seemingly random
shooting." This looks like a solid movie. We actually have a trailer for it for
you to check out below, and an international poster that I found above.
Apparently, the film was already released in France.
Paragon Pictures picked up North American rights to the feature which
stars Vincent D’Onofrio, Gina Gershon, Cameron Monaghan, Peter Stormare ,
and James Frecheville .
Malcom’s done with his life. Only the noise of Crystal Meth
gives him a reason to keep going – everything else it has
long regardless. Equipped with a bag full of weapons and
self-made bombs, he makes his way to the nearby mall to
really stir things up. On his personal war campaign, he not
only changes his life radically, but also the fate of other
people who are in the wrong place at the same time: a
teenager whose favorite pastime is smoking pot in his
dreary existence, a housewife, where their best days have
been left behind, a greedy businessman whose only desire
is to increase his wealth and a depressed pervert.

Neymar got injury

CAN BRAZIL WIN WITHOUT NEYMAR

Leaving the Estádio Castelão, it was difficult
not to feel that Brazil, after the initial burst
of jubilation, may have lost their best chance
of winning this tournament for the sixth
time. The night before the match against
Colombia, the main strip of Fortaleza’s
beachfront was not a place where it was easy
to get much sleep. Now, there was a strange
lack of noise and celebration. A lot of the
locals had headed to Clínica São Carlos
instead, gathering outside the main gates to
go through their repertoire of songs in
support of Neymar, lying inside with a
fractured vertebra and his face covered in a
white blanket.
With a clearer head, the news is still a
grievous blow for Brazil, but the damage does
not necessarily have to be irreparable.
Neymar has scored four times so far. He has
had 18 shots at goal, created 13 other
chances for his team-mates and had 241
touches in the opposition half. On each
count, he is out alone as Brazil’s best
attacker. So, yes, it is easy to understand why
the immediate reaction was to suspect the
worse for Luiz Felipe Scolari’s team.
And yet, Brazil have not reached this point
just to raise a white flag because one player –
admittedly, more than just a normal player –
is injured. Willian is a £32m player with the
energy to fit in seamlessly. That, in turn,
could free up Oscar to play in the No 10 role
where he does his best work. Or maybe
Bernard could come in and we might see
why Scolari has described the Shakhtar
Donetsk player as having “joy in the legs”.
That still does not lessen the significance of
an injury that had the president, Dilma
Rousseff, sending her own message of
support to Neymar.
The 22-year-old has demonstrated in this
tournament that his superstar status is fully
warranted (just imagine Barça’s attack next
season if Neymar clicks and Luis Suárez is
playing ahead of Lionel Messi) and the really
sad thing about his absence is that it
deprives the World Cup of one of its real
showmen.

Linkin park until it's gone lyrics

        UNTIL ITS GONE

A fire needs a space to burn
A breath to build a glow
I've heard it said a thousand times
But now I know
That you don't know what you've got
Oh you don't know what you've got
No you don't know what you've got
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
I thought I kept you safe and sound
I thought I made you strong
But something made me realize
That I was wrong
'Cause finding what you got sometimes
Means finding it alone
And I can finally see your light
When I let go
'Cause you don't know what you've got
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
Until it's gone
'Cause you don't know what you've got
Oh you don't know what you've got
No you don't know what you've got
It's your battle to be fought
No you don't know what you've got
'Til it's gone
'Til it's gone
'Til it's gone

Mike shinoda clan

Michael Kenji "Mike" Shinoda (born February
11, 1977)[1] is an American musician , record
producer , and artist . He is best known as the
rapper, principal songwriter , keyboardist,
rhythm guitarist and one of the two vocalists
of the rock band Linkin Park. Shinoda is also a
solo rapper in his side-project Fort Minor . He
also provides artwork, production, and mixing
for both projects. Shinoda was ranked #72 in
the list of "Top 100 Heavy Metal Vocalists" by
Hit Parader. Shinoda's voice is baritone .
Life and career
Early life
Shinoda was born and raised in the affluent
Los Angeles suburb of Agoura Hills . [1] His
father is Japanese-American, descendant of
the Kumaichiro Shinoda floral company family,
and his mother is of Hungarian descent. [2][3]
He has a younger brother, Jason. He was
raised as a liberal Protestant. [4]
Following his mother's wishes, Shinoda began
classical piano training lessons around the age
of six. By thirteen, he expressed the desire to
move toward playing jazz , blues , and even
hip-hop . [5] He added the guitar and rap-style
vocals to his repertoire during his middle
school and high school years, eventually.
Shinoda attended Agoura High School with
Linkin Park bandmates Brad Delson and Rob
Bourdon. The trio formed the band Xero, and
began to make a more serious attempt to
pursue a career in the music industry. After
graduating high school, Shinoda enrolled in the
Art Center College of Design to study graphic
design and illustration . [1] He attended classes
with DJ and turntablist Joseph Hahn . While
studying at the Art Center College of Design,
he experienced a form of identity crisis. Years
later, in an interview he said:
“ I think it was probably in
college that I realized that
there was a difference
between Japanese and
Japanese-American . That's
important to realize. It's not
the same thing and then
eventually with Linkin Park,
I toured in Japan . I've been
there now I think four times.
I remember the first time I
went, how familiar it
seemed, just getting out of
the plane, it smelled like my
aunt's house, in the airport,
it smelled like Japan. I don't
know if anybody else even
noticed it but I walked out
of the plane and thought this
is definitely familiar to me,
didn't even see anything yet.
And then going to Tokyo,
Osaka , Kyoto , Nagoya , you
just recognize things about
the way people act, the small
things that people do such as
how you'll grab a piece of
paper. There are things that
are more obvious like taking
somebody's business card
with two hands. You don't do
that in the States. When I
saw somebody do that I
went, "Oh yeah, my uncle
always does that," you know.
There are little things that
culturally come from Japan
but they also exist in
Japanese American culture
and it made me feel like the
connection was there and I
kind of hadn't realized how
much of it was there. [6]

Shinoda graduated from college with a
bachelor's degree in illustration a year in
advance and secured himself a job as a graphic
designer. [1] With his background as a graphic
artist , Shinoda has taken it upon himself in
designing all of Linkin Park's artwork with
Hahn, and has even designed the album cover
for Styles of Beyond's debut album, 2000 Fold.
In later years he displayed his art skills in his
debut art showcase (Diamonds Spades Hearts
& Clubs) at Gallery 1988[7] in Los Angeles in
the time leading up to Linkin Park's album
Minutes to Midnight .
